As its name implies, you will see vineyards all around the village along with olive groves and tobacco. You will also see ‘Dastar’ cloth, as well as cotton and silk fabrics, being woven on looms in village houses into scarves, shawls and table decorations. Uzumlu is well placed for many of the attractions of the area including Cadianda, Saklikent Gorge, Tlos, Xanthos and Patara with its famous beach.
Uzumlu is a typical Turkish village including village shops, several restaurants and a wine bar (Syrap House). On the main street there is a chemist, doctor and clinic, two petrol stations and a town hall.
